Narf

We saw Lady in the Water today. Mom, George, and I liked it. Very clean. Didn't show violence. No raunchy-ness. Demonstrates that it is indeed possible to make good movies without all the violence and crap a lot of movies have.

Working Computer!

Hooray! Travis fixed my computer! Go Travis with your awesome computer skillz. Apparently Dell sent me a faulty refurbished RAM stick. Everytime computer would try to use a particular part of the RAM it would fail, computer would crash, and blue screen would appear. Unfortunately, all the crashing/messing up RAM caused a windows file to go poo...thus forcing me to reformat my harddrive. See Dell! It was hardware again! That sorta makes three. Mom and Dad are really pressuring me to ask for a replacement computer. *shrugs* But if it's just this little stick that's the problem... i'm fine with this one.

In other news. Work has been great lately; everybody has been cheerful and happy. I can hardly wait for vet school!!! I'm excited about school starting and YOSEMITE!!!!!! cool plants! cool animals! big trees!!! MILES OF HIKING ADVENTURES! Lions! Tigers! Bears! Trees! Oh my! I've never been to California before (unless you count the nights I spent on a bench in the LA airport - i don't think that counts)!

I finished house sitting for Meg. Nothing major happened. Mia got loose in the house once. Gracie tried to kill her....so Mia ran upstairs and peed on my half-asleep cousin in Meg's bed.

Whiny american brat...

One of my RAM sticks failed today... Dell will be sending a replacement shortly. I'm starting to think Macs are better than PCs. Wow... what a spoiled American brat I am. I need to start volunteering or something. I'm tired of sitting on my lazy butt doing nothing during my days off.
This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recongized by yourself as a might one; being a force of nature enstead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
I want to be thoroughtly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.

Catching up with mis amigas!

Fantasitic! I've had an absolutely fantastic summer thus far. Banana Splits and steaks, mmmmm, joined forces with a turtle w/ his league of small animals and with a team of high powered super heroes to truly make this an enjoyable summer. It's so good to have friends! *winks*

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: if one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!" Ecclesiastes 4: 10.

Operation "Who is this Jesus fellow?" Bible study will commence on Sunday. Accross the nation (sort of.... New York, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and California at least) we'll be studying and discussing the gospels one chapter, one day at a time. If you want in on the action, just email me or something! It's going to be awesome!! *official happy dance*

Too bad it had to end..

This weekend was uber-tatstic.  Riverfest was an absolute blast.  Train, Switchfoot, The Neville Brothers, that random band I can never remember the name of, and The Doobie Brothers all performed (and that’s not even HALF of all the groups who performed).  Meredith and I really enjoyed it.  The Neville Brothers and Switchfoot were my favorites.  The Doobies would have been awesome, but we couldn’t really see them from where we were.  The last night Megann, Leah, and Jeremy joined us.  Fun, fun, fun.

Jeremy came to visit Sunday – Tuesday.  He survived our family get together and had a pretty good time.   He wasn’t too uncomfortable here.  Now it’s my turn to go to Missouri.
